Tina Jost is one of the most accomplished violin teachers in the Twin Cities. Her expertise of violin teaching has been proven during her career spanning three decades. Tina has served on faculty of the Medins Music College in Riga, Latvia for more than two decades, teaching students majoring in violin performance. She taught violin teaching methods for graduate students at the Latvian Academy of Music for several years and masterclasses at the Institute of Advanced Studies for Music Teachers.
In 2001 Tina was invited on faculty of the Metropolitan Music Conservatory and since 2005 she is the Head of String Department at Classical Music Academy.
Tina started her violin and piano lessons at age of six and graduated from Medins Music College of Riga and Latvian State Conservatoire. Her amazing abilities to make students succeed have worked wonders and every summer students from prestigious universities are coming to participate in masterclasses given by Tina.
Her former students have launched successful professional careers in Europe and the United States.
